Sea Containers Events (January 2019)

Less than a two-minute walk from London’s Blackfriars station is the home of one of THE BEST views of the city of London.   Sea Containers Events.

SCE is situated on top of the Sea Containers Building, right by The Mondrian and we think it is stunning.

On Tuesday our members were lucky enough to do a full site visit of all the fabulous spaces prior to a delicious dinner in the most stunning room but more about that later…

SCE offers over 25,000 square feet of meeting and events spaces, split over different floors, and all with those floor-to-ceiling windows that an event space looking over London screams for.  You can read all about the spaces here.  There are six spaces in total.

Our favourites were Cucumber which is named so for the shape and colour of its bar and works for pretty much any type of event.  We also loved the Amphitheatre which is very cool.  Boasting very high ceilings, seating for up to 200 and split over two floors this space would be amazing for a different type of meeting.  Used in conjunction with any one of the other six spaces would make for a very memorable event.

The last stop on our site visit was The Wren.  The Wren called so because it is named after the creator of (my favourite) St Paul’s (Sir Christopher Wren) and was where we were lucky enough to have our private dinner with our members.  The Wren has a private outdoor terrace and we loved it.

In term of F&B, the SCE’s catering is brought to you by award-winning Green and Fortune and our dinner certainly didn’t disappoint.  The menu paired perfectly with wines along with an exceptional level of service made for a gorgeous dinner and we all loved it.

I am so pleased we were able to work with SCE on this event for our members and know that we all feel very privileged to now know of this gem.
